6 Simple Changes to Promote Weight Loss

There are a bunch of lifestyle changes that one can make to help them loss weight. Maybe you are just starting out and want to start of small or if you are trying to loss the last five pounds to reach your goal.


  1. Drink water. Many people don't realize how many calories are actually in the things they drink. Lets take a regular soda for example. A 12 oz bottle of coke has 140 calories, 39 carbohydrates, and 0 protein. Do you realize that is more then a piece of bread has.
  2. Try to achieve more the 10,000 steps a day. 10,000 steps is considered average so if you aim for more it will benefit your activity level. Almost every smart phone has a built in pedometers and lets face it we have our phone with us all the time anyway. 
  3. Try to eat things that have more protein then carbohydrates. Yes this means that you will have to read the labels more.
  4. Drink a cup of water right when you wake up to get your immune system up and running. Also before you eat a meal to help you not over eat.
  5. If you get hungry late at night make a nice hot cup of tea or even warm mike. It will not only curve your hunger but also help you sleep. 
  6. Less weight more reps when weightlifting.
